Kayla worked with my son before he even had sounds. She was patient and attentive to his needs, interests and development. She worked with me so I could follow along and help him as well, which I really wanted to do. They worked together through the pandemic so a lot of this was done virtually and she still managed to keep his interest. When they met in-person she implemented new strategies and supported him as he gained more and more speech. He went from pre-verbal to verbal in the two years they worked together and we were so sad when we had to transition on to the school SLP. She followed up with us as she came across new information that she thought might be helpful and was often right. She is deeply caring, fun, easy going and optimistic when you need it the most.
